ABDUCTION PREVENTION AND ESCAPE SKILLS
The Guardian Angels Safety Program is aimed at kids in preschool through 6th
grade. We specialize in the elementary years with abduction prevention
presentations that teach kids the physical techniques to escape an abductor.
Teaching kids about "Stranger Danger" is not enough in today's world. Most kids
that are assaulted and abducted know their attacker and are tricked into going
with them. We teach them to be prepared, not scared! We do not use fear tactics
to train children, we empower them with proven techniques and positive
reinforcement. Kids will receive a
24 page Kid's Safety Manual full of abduction
prevention illustrations as part of the program. It allows them to reinforce their
new skills by practicing at home with their parents.

Our child safety materials are FREE for parents to download and
use at home to teach their children at the important skills and
techniques to keep them safe. Also available for FREE download
are lesson plans, articles, and other resources for parents to keep
kids safe. These are the materials we use if asked to conduct a
presentation for a school or other youth serving organization.
We hope that by sharing them with you we will increase the
number of children that have effective resources to deal with
these types of encounters.

Fingerprint cards and child ID kits are good to have, but too
many parents think  it's all they can do for the safety of a child.
They add
NO safety for the child, just a means to identify them in
a worst case scenario. It is more effective and empowering to teach children what
they
CAN do if someone grabs them, or gets them into a car. It isn't time to give
up if an abductor has them;it's just time to use some specific techniques to get
help or escape. Submitting should never be an option for a child in an abduction.
Statistics are not on their side if they go with a predator to a second location.
They can be shown skills to slow down their attacker in the first location and
escape if possible.

The program covers safety skills including awareness, instincts, and avoidance of
potentially dangerous people and situations. The children then learn age
appropriate escape techniques through demonstration and practice. Anyone
working with children of this age know that lecturing children doesn't do much
good. The most effective way to teach kids is through hands on physical activities.

Materials and other resources are provided to children, parents, schools, and
hosting organization to enable them to review the skills and techniques. Follow up
lesson plans can be used by teachers to continually reinforce safety skills. The
Guardian Angels Program is enjoyable, entertaining, and educational.  A child who
is having fun while learning will retain the information for a much longer period of
time.

Our programs can be customized to
fit your time requirements and needs.
An average program runs 30-90
minutes depending on the grade and
age level of the class. It is best to
limit the amount of participants to 40
children for each session when
incorporating escape techniques. We
can run as many as four (4) sessions
in one school/business day. Parent
presentations can be offered as a
follow up to the kid's presentations.

Cost/Donation

As a non-profit organization we offer our programs at much lower costs than for
profit businesses, and many times for free through grants and other funding.

If no other funding is available a common cost for our children's safety program
starts at $500 depending on the class size and the number of presentations
needed. The costs cover our non-profit expenses, booklets and other materials
may be extra depending on the size of your group. This does not always include
travel and lodging; which is calculated depending on your location. We commonly
drive to locations so we may transport more equipment and materials which
allows us to reach kids more effectively.

The irony of effective child safety training has
shown the more prepared a child is to defend
